The occupational physician may deem it necessary to perform additional examinations or referrals. This is discussed during the consultation. The Premed doctor can only make a decision if they have a complete file.
In certain cases, it is necessary for a specialist physician to provide prior positive advice. You bring this advice to the examination.
The fitness to drive certificate is valid for a maximum of five years. The doctor may also limit the validity period.

A fitness to drive certificate or medical examination is a medical certificate issued by an authorised doctor. In this certificate, the doctor declares that you do not have any physical or mental condition that could endanger yourself or others when driving a lorry, car or other motor vehicle. At www.medischeschifting.be you can get this medical examination.
Article 42 of the Road Traffic Act provides for a safety measure whereby a driver's licence is withdrawn when they are found to be physically or mentally unfit to drive a vehicle. Since the 2018 amendment, this measure is unlimited in time. The forfeiture takes effect immediately upon judgment. This measure is often imposed by the police court and is intended to safeguard road safety.
We therefore do not perform examinations for this purpose.
